My Journey: Rooted in Resilience
My Mission: Strength to Thrive
RMy path to founding Bamboo Wellbeing began with a simple observation: mental health and disability support are most effective when they are flexible, culturally aware, and delivered where life actually happens, at home and in the community.
As a Registered Psychologist and NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, I spent years working within the Sydney disability sector. While I saw incredible resilience in my clients, I also saw the gaps in the system, particularly for those needing bilingual support or specialised mobile services.
At Bamboo Wellbeing, our mission is inspired by the plant that shares our name. Bamboo is remarkable because it is flexible enough to bend with the strongest winds, yet rooted deeply enough to never break.
We exist to help our clients find that same balance.
Our mission is built on three pillars:
Cultural & Linguistic Connection: We believe mental health support should never be lost in translation. By providing services in both English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), we ensure our clients feel truly heard and understood.
Accessibility Without Boundaries: We don’t expect our clients to always come to us. By offering mobile home visits across the Sydney area, we provide care in the environment where our clients feel most safe and supported.
Evidence-Based Growth: Whether through NDIS Behaviour Support or Psychological Therapy, our mission is to provide evidence based interventions that foster long-term independence, resilience, and wellbeing.
